Welcome
to the Chicago Comedy Guide. Chicago is a great town with a rich tradition in comedy. The 'North Shore' is often thought of fondly as 'the nice part of town'. Nestled on Lake Michigan with residential suburbs and high median incomes, the North Shore has developed into its own community.
The towns of Glencoe, Highland Park, Lake Forest and Evanston have grown in reputation and popularity. With small art houses, each has their own aspirations in the arts. Evanston has Northwestern University and a collection of associated venues for the college crowd.
In addition, just slightly further inland from the shore you find towns such as Northbrook, Deerfield, Buffalo Grove and Libertyville, all of which have their own venues as well.
With the Edens backing up, more and more people are finding ways to find things to do in the burbs rather than heading downtown.
There are plenty of plays, small theaters, and good times to be had.
The people are fun-loving and vibrant. Not only do you have locations within Chicago itself, but in the surrounding areas as well with their own rich history of comedy.
Beyond regular
performances, they also provide corporate and private
event entertainment tailored to your needs.
